Valerie Ardini was born in 1980, Genova, Italy. She grew up in the Netherlands and fell in love with photography at the age of 17, when she finally got her own camera. In 2006 she graduated from The Academy of Fine Arts in Enschede (NL).Valerie is currently working as an artist and photographer in Deventer, the Netherlands. She is inspired by both absurd and plain things in life- they are equally fascinating to her. Details, beauty in unlikely places, street life, architecture, nature.Valerie works with different digital and analog cameras, one of them is the iPhone. She loves the iPhone camera for it’s simplicity- in combination with the many excellent photo apps, which makes it a great tool for a photographer. Valerie Ardini just finished a 365 project with her iPhone; one photo a day for one year (may 7th, 2009 - may 6th, 2010).
